Here is my card for this weeks sketch challenge, given to us by Cathy. Also I used this weeks colours as well (polished pink, coastal cabana and silver)
I just purchased the "Hey birthday chick" stamp set from Stampin Up. I love these cute little chickens and chicks.
I stamped the chicken image with memento black and coloured the image with Coastal Cabana, Raspberry Ripple and Baked Brown Sugar. Coloured the balloon with a Copic marker. I used the closest colours I had to the colour challenge colours. I fussy cut the image. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then inked up the raised edges with versamark ink and used silver embossing powder and heat set the powder. I used two different designer papers for the background. Assembled the layers and sewed around the outer edge. I cut several strips of twine and sewed them down at the lower edge of the white embossed panel. I thought the twine would look a little like straw for her nest. Popped up the chicken and balloon and the sentiment.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs..Pat

Pat, this party girl seems to be having such a fun time! I love how you used this week's colors to give her more than a little blush! Love the embossed and silver hexagons that echo the pattern in the DS paper. Just adorable!
